Front Store Supervisor
Well established and growing 6000 sq.ft. Drug Store is looking for a Front Store Supervisor to join our management team. This full-time (4-5 days weekly) team member will assist in managing the operations of the front store, including creating appealing merchandise displays, training and motivating staff, providing customer service, work front cash, work receiving, provide accountability for merchandise margins, sales, cash balancing, turns and overall profitability of the front store.

Duties:

  • Balance and prepare deposits when upper management is away
  • Prepare store for opening when upper management is away
  • Ensure all merchandise is properly received, priced and displayed in store
  • Ensure all merchandise is on an expiry date check rotation
  • Ensure all defective or expired merchandise is properly returned or destroyed as per vendor preference
  • Preserve Profit Margins
  • Ensure daily low stock walk is completed
  • Ensure all new merchandise is prominently displayed and priced to sell
  • Ensure all cash staff are properly trained on Lottery
  • Receive and reconcile Lottery
  • Supervise Inventory count procedures
  • Ensure adequate stock quantities are maintained in store
  • Act on customer feedback
  • Maintain Staff Instruction Manuals and resources

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of two years of experience working as an Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor
  • Motivation to learn and excel in small team environment, working independently as well as leading the team as needed
  • A strong desire to create a focused work ethic and customer-centred care culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to provide the best customer service to our existing and new customers and staff
  • current CPR and First Aid certificate

Schedule:

  • shifts are 7 hours long Monday -Friday (9am-530pm with 2x15minute breaks and 1-hour lunch break) and 5 hours long on Saturday
  • 4-5 shifts weekly
  • Closed Sunday and Statutory holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
