Regulated Pharmacy Technician
Well established and fast growing Rural Pharmacy is looking for a Regulated Pharmacy Technician to join our team immediately. This full-time (4-5 days weekly) team member will assist in the operations of the Pharmacy, including providing technical consultations to customers and working collaboratively with health care providers. There is an opportunity to practice to your full scope in providing technical services, dispensing medication, and assisting in the maintenance of the dispensary.

Duties:

  • Accurately and timely dispense all prescriptions and patient focused services as required
  • Maximize patient care
  • Operate pick up counter as required and assist with insurance questions
  • Maintaining the dispensary inventory level within the prescribed guidelines through accurate inventory records
  • Maintenance of complete and accurate documentation as required by the various Colleges of Pharmacy, drugs plans as well as our internal processes
  • provide regular dispensing duties
  • accurately and efficiently perform prescription entry and verification processes

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working in a dispensary is preferred
  • A Regulated Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacists
  • a dual license with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists (in good standing) would be an asset
  • Highly skilled in accuracy, efficiency and good common sense would be an asset
  • Experience with Kroll
  • Motivation to learn and excel in small team environment, working independently as well as with the team as needed
  • A strong desire to create a focused work ethic and patient-centred care culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
