Special Areas Board

Wage: $22.1269 – $25.3356 per hour

The Special Areas Board requires Range Rider Assistants from approximately May 1 to October 31 at four community pasture locations. Bullpound Community Pasture, Sounding Creek Community Pasture, Remount Community Pasture and Buffalo-Atlee Community Pasture.

Key duties include:

  •  Assisting the Community Pasture Supervisor with admitting, checking, treating, moving, sorting, recording and exiting cattle from the pasture;
  • Miscellaneous maintenance and repair work on buildings, fences, water systems and corrals;
  • Delivering the Special Areas Safety Program and all reporting requirements; and
  • Other related duties.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in handling livestock under range conditions is required;
  • Previous community pasture experience an asset;
  • Successful applicant must supply their own horses and tack; and
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
